Question 7 Empty
PostSubject: Question 7   Question 7 EmptyFri Oct 21, 2011 10:51 am

"Emerging Technology is constantly leveling the playing field."

Because Surface is one of these emerging technologies, it opens opportunity to any consulting firm or business that would employ or propagate it. Because it exists, our hypothetical consulting firm can profit from it.

What do you think?

Our "consulting firm" would be on the cutting edge of technology because of our development of Surface applications. This allows a new company such as ours to be competitive because we are keeping up with and profiting from new technologies such as Surface.

Not only can we profit from Surface being a new technology for which we have rights to a few adaptable applications to directly sell to clients, but we could also profit by providing networking services in this specific product category between clients and indie developers who partner with us and provide applications that we may not have expertise in ourselves.

With the new technology, the business would rush to us. As you see in our normal day to day life all people care about is the newest and the most techy thing. If we had exclusive content and developers working with us we would be set. But as in everything, major companies are only interested in the money. If Microsoft hired more and more consulting firms the field would be leveled. As stated in earlier questions, it all depends on how we "out" the product and the developers with it.

"Emerging technology is constantly leveling the playing field." That statement does play a role in our world today, Big companies care about the dollar, therefore if a company can outsource or hire many people across a area to help support, promote and sell their products then they will do so. This somewhat eliminated the competitive edge. However, our response in question 5 states that if we played it out right and had the right niche we can excel and beat out competitors. Working with experts in hardware and the software areas of Surface. Also have our referral program to keep clients coming through to us, and last but not least social media integration to Facebook and Twitter. If we excel in those areas we will lead the pack.
